Is it ok to use an inflatable mattress for your 3 year old’s bed?

My son has outgrown his toddler bed and we lack the funds to get him a real twin sized bed. So my husband is making a platform for our twin size inflatable mattress for 3 year old to sleep on until we can afford to buy a real bed.

Would you think that’s ok? He says he loves it and the mattress was one of those high dollar inflatables with a pillow top.

Or do you think that’s just too trashy? It’s not like he’ll sleep on it forever… just until we can buy him a real mattress.

I wish he wouldn’t grow so fast, but he cannot comfortably sleep in his toddler bed anymore.
We plan to get him a bed for Christmas, just so you all know. It’s not forever! Just until we can save up and afford a bed for him.
