will a queen size bedding fit on a full size mattress and bed?

I want to purchase a queen comferter/bedding set. But i don’t want to pay more if i can get a full size bed and mattress that can fit the comforter. So does a queen comforter= a full mattress and bed?

No, queen size beds are about 6″ wider, and 5″ longer. Doesn’t sound like much, and you MIGHT be able to stretch full size sheets that far, but they’d be constantly coming undone.

It will be a little bit big, but you can hide that if you drape it just right.

queen does not = full
you can use a queen set on a full mattress – the fitted sheet will be a bit larger – but the flat and comforter while a little longer on the sides and end will work just fine – in fact when i can, i get queen size comforters just because i like to snuggle under them with plenty of cover left over

Our bed is a full bed, but sits high, so I have to use a queen sized quilt or comforter on it, but I buy the bed skirt separate. I never buy the bed in a bag. Queen sized fitted sheets will be too big, they fit sloppy.
