I bought this platform bed to go with my memory foam mattress I also purchased from Amazon. I am very pleased with the product, it was easy to assemble and I had no help. It matches my existing furniture and makes an excellent centerpiece to my bedroom. I plan on purchasing the matching headboard in the near future.

This thing went together easy and is solid. No problem sitting on corners. Can do a running jump onto bed and no creaks or movement. I’m 6′2″ and about 220 lbs to give you and idea. Looks clean to. At $150 bucks it’s a good deal.

Overall very happy with the bed. It was pretty easy to assemble, although it weighs a ton.
Worth the 150 I paid for it.
Pros: Easy to assemble, functional, affordable
Cons: Will have to disassemble to move as to not strip screws.

So I bought a new Serta Boulevard Full size mattress, and i wanted a new frame for it. I was searching around the web for some cheap beds and i decided to buy a platform bed instead of the pricey regular with the additional box spring. I found this bed at meijer. com and bought it from their. The exact same bed. The bed arrived 10 days after i bought it, (a little ridiculous) I was quite surprised with the weight of the bed. I needed 2 people to help me carry it down my stairs to my bedroom. It took me and another person about an hour to assemble the bed. It was ridiculously hard to assemble the bed, the pieces didn’t match up easily, the screws went in unevenly and we had to re-screw slats in over. It was very hard to move the bed to where i wanted it to, (4 feet away). Whenever i moved the bed, the screws loosened and the slats would rattle around, and become uneven. I finally put my mattress on top, when i was putting the sheets on the bed, i sat down a little to hard, (190 lbs,) and half the bed broke in half. The cheap plywood broke and split, and my mattress got ripped. It is a horrible product and you should NOT waste your money on it.

Much like the other piece of South Shore furniture I wrote about, this bed frame is a solid and not so fancy furniture piece. Easy to put together, but HEAVY and bulky enough to give backaches. There is a lot of screwing involved in this assembly (haha), and it can really take a toll on your wrists and forearms (again, haha). After about 2 hours, I was almost done with its construction. It has a pleasant look and does not dominate the room, and is about 10 inches off of the ground. I have a 10 inch foam mattress that will go on this, so I am sure it will be well above ground for normal sleeping.
