Room Seven Summer Clothing at Its Best

Room Seven was founded in 1994 by Brechtje Olsthoorn. This Holland-based company actually began and ran as a bedding and accessory collection until the founder had her own children in 2003. It was then that a children’s clothing line was added to the growingly popular bedding company.

Ms. Olsthoorn had grown up watching her mother and father design and create the Dutch Children’s Brand, Oilily. Room Seven consisted of a colorful mix of checks and prints, and is now sold in 30 countries around the world. Now, Room Seven is very well known for the charming variety of dresses and skirts, made both for parties as well as play.

Room Seven has gained popularity for its beautiful floral patterns, tiered skirts, and old world charm. Room Sevens brings you whimsical patterns and colors that any infant, toddler, or child would love.
The summer 2009 girl collection was awe inspired by the joy, laughter, and sunshine that summer brings. This summer’s line of clothing features big retro flower prints, lilies and cornflowers in a wide range of colors, and a combination of different stripes and checks. Colors chosen for this summer are ocean turquoise, coral red, green as the dancing leaves on the trees, and a gorgeous sun-kissed yellow. Room Seven has outfits for all occasions.

The summer 2009 boy collection sports a wide array of blues and reds,
mixed with more natural tones like white and gray. This collection tends to give the overall feel of a summer and marine feeling. A nice addition to the boy’s collection is mid-calf length trousers, perfect for wading with their feet in the water without getting their pants wet. Now that’s style and versatility.

The bedding collection takes on the same inspiration as the clothing line this summer. This season’s girls theme takes you into the fairytale of a beautiful princess awaiting Prince Charming from her castle. For the boys this season, Room Seven has taken on a “Tony Toucan and friends” theme. “Tony Toucan” is the captain of a ship that has been attacked by a shark. What little boy wouldn’t love to pretend being on a deep sea adventure in the comforts of his own room.
