Product Description
Our King Platform Storage Beds combine extra large drawers for plenty of storage space with a slat support system that requires only a mattress. Wood slats are positioned lengthwise to distribute body weight evenly, minimize the amount of motion transfer and take the place of a box-spring. Metal braces under the slats provide additional stability. Underneath are 6 large storage drawers (20” depth) that run on smooth running metal drawer glides. Drawers open easily with finger pulls located at the bottom of drawer fronts and knobs have been eliminated to prevent bedclothes from catching. They are large enough to hold anything you need to store: linens, blankets, clothes, socks and even shoes are just a few ideas. Coordinate with other Prepac espresso furniture from our Manhattan or Regency collections. Overall bed height is 21” if used with an 8” thick mattress. Available in two attractive finishes: Black and Espresso overlay laminates. This product is made from composite woods with plywood slats. It ships flat-packed (in three cartons) and self-assembly is required. Detailed and easy-to-follow instructions are included.

For those of you looking for fine hard-wood furniture, this is not it. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product and it was fairly simple to put together. The price and functionality are the best selling points, and I’ve been pleased with the increase in storage in our bedroom. We live in a small bungalow-style home with small bedrooms. Try putting a king-sized bed in a small room and you quickly run out of room for a dresser. Now my clothes are easily accessed and our closet doesn’t feel so cramped. The clean lines of this bed are great as they don’t compete with the look of the bedspread and drapery headboard treatment that are the focus of our room. The espresso finish is also nice. I do find that we frequently stub our toes on the corner of the bed, but this probably has more to do with our small bedroom than the bed itself.

Bed is sturdy and pretty easy to put together. Looks beautiful! Only complaint is that the first time it came, one of the packages (it comes in 3 separate huge boxes) was either accidentally opened, or dropped, or something. . . and it was all scratched up and broken. However, upon calling customer service – they easily issued me a return and exchange. Second set of boxes came in perfect condition!

great bed for the money- no doubtabout that. It does have sharp edges so watch out when you first set it up until you get used to it. My only complaint about the seller is the time it takes to ship the item. It was a couple of weeks and I don’t really see any need for it to take that long and there was no communication or delivery information given other than an expected delivery time from with multiple dates listed. But the price can’t be beat on the web anywhere- trust me, I looked!

The product had multiple scratches,scrapes and huge gashes when it was delivered. It was fairly simple to put together after the instructions were e-mailed to me. (They forgot to send them but are very quick to get them to you if you call the number on the website) Aside, from all of the gashes (We have them hidden by pillows,blankets, etc) in the furniture, it’s nice.

AAA Home Furniture Discounts lacks integrity should be avoided at all costs. I have dealt with hundreds of Sellers in the Amazon Marketplace and AAA Home Furniture Discounts is by far the worst. They misrepresented the product (it’s not solid wood and actually contains cheap particleboard) and refused to replace damaged parts, then taunted me and said they would win against any claim I might file. Shipping was overpriced and underpackaged. They are completely unprofessional and never even sent an order acknowledgment or shipping confirmation. DO NOT REINFORCE THIS BEHAVIOR!
